Mousqueton is taking a new step forward with the launch of two styles of jeans made in Orne. True to its desire to develop high-quality textiles, the brand has partnered with a Normandy workshop specializing in the manufacture of jeans and pants. Together, we have created this authentic product, available in men's and women's styles.

Why choose Mousqueton jeans made in France?

The Mousqueton Commitment

By choosing to have its jeans made in Normandy, Mousqueton is committed to regional expertise and French quality. Each pair of jeans is the result of a process that preserves traditional craftsmanship. More than just a piece of clothing, it is a garment that embodies the heritage of French manufacturing and the high standards of a brand committed to its values. Mousqueton jeans embody this alliance between tradition and modernity, between rugged workwear and timeless elegance.

The workwear legacy

Jeans are part of the pure tradition of workwear. The straight cut, sturdy fabric, and finishes evoke the locker rooms of workers and sailors of yesteryear. The men's model, with its ankle length, falls with character over any shoes. The women's high-waisted version enhances the silhouette while retaining the workwear spirit that makes these durable pieces so charming.

How are our jeans manufactured?

Want to take a peek behind the scenes of Normandy manufacturing? We opened the doors to the workshop to reveal the making of the first Mousqueton jeans. It's time to come along with us as we tell you everything about the manufacturing process, denim, and the signature details of these jeans!

Step 1. Precision cutting

It all starts with cutting out the different components of the jeans. A cutting machine cuts out each element, including pockets, waistbands, and yokes. This step requires a high degree of precision to ensure that each part will fit together perfectly later on.

Step 2. Assembling the pockets

Of course, what would Mousqueton jeans be without their signature nautical touch? So slip your hands into the pockets and discover the lining printed with a nautical map pattern that recalls our coastal origins. This map is a discreet nod to sailing enthusiasts.

Step 3. Installing the signature elements

Next comes the assembly of the details that make up the identity of the jeans. The belt loops are sewn at regular intervals. The leather jacron is attached to the back of the waistband. This small piece of leather, traditional on quality jeans, proudly bears our logo.

Step 4. Topstitching

Topstitching plays both an aesthetic and functional role. It reinforces areas of tension while creating the characteristic lines of denim workwear. Each stitch guarantees the strength of the garment as a whole.

Step 5. Rivets and metal button

Rivets reinforce the corners of the pockets and stress points. The stamped metal Mousqueton button and metal zipper complete these sturdy finishes, designed to last. These elements are modeled after the first work jeans designed to withstand everyday wear and tear.

Step 6. The tricolor flag

The final touch is the blue, white, and red flag sewn onto the breast pocket, a discreet detail that recalls the garment's origins and Mousqueton's commitment to local craftsmanship.

Denim that evolves with you

Woven from a sturdy fabric composed of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, this denim offers exceptional durability while ensuring flexibility and comfort for everyday wear. The touch of elastane provides essential freedom of movement without compromising the fit of the jeans.

Authentic raw denim will reveal its true character over time. It may bleed slightly during the first few washes. With wear, it will develop the natural patina so sought after by lovers of beautiful denim. Each pair of jeans thus becomes a unique piece.
